The climate and the weather of the Bhutan are very difficult to always changeable. It changes rapidly and will be distinct from one place to another. But the weather depends upon the altitude of the Bhutan. In the northern part above the altitude of 7000m, weather condition is generally cold as like that of the arctic. And the weather towards the southern part of the Bhutan is hot and humid in summer and comparatively cold in winter. Bhutan receives heavy amount of monsoon rain. So, for the ideal visit at the Bhutan, no any season is perfect. So, the winter is good to visit at the lower regions whereas the summer season will be good to visit at the high lands viewing the mountains of the country.

But tourist generally considers the time between the March to May and late September to November as the best season to visit at Bhutan. Bhutan used to enjoy the four seasons. They are spring, summer, autumn and winter. But the weather can be changed as the weather of the Bhutan can't be generalized. Depending with the altitude, the climate varies from semi- tropical to alpine. The interesting fact about the climate of the Bhutan is that, with every increase of 1000m in the altitude, the temperature will decrease about 7 degree Celsius. The southern part of the Bhutan enjoys the tropical types of climate. It enjoys both summer and monsoon. Whereas the central part of the Bhutan has sub tropical climate which used to be very cold during the winter with heavy snow fall. The capital city of the Bhutan is Thimpu. The capital city has moderate types of climate. It ranges from -2.5 Celsius to 25 Celsius with a very good rainfall during the monsoon. Thus visiting at Bhutan will be obviously interesting according with the climate.
