Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek
 
Tsum Valley is also known as the Hidden Valley. It is also known as the land of monasteries and hamlets with totally Tibetan population lies on the northern part of Manaslu on the Nepal-Tibet border and used to be a restricted area until 2008. Traditionally Tsum Valley used to be a separate area from both Nepal and Tibet. Compared to other tourist areas, Tsum valley trail is less beaten. Tsum people have their own way of life and polyandry is predominant in the region.
Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek takes you into the majestic surroundings of the Ganesh Himal, Bauddha Himal and Sringi Himal ranges. Suddenly we get a feeling of entering truly into the hidden valley as we leave the main Manaslu Trail for the Tsum Valley. During the trek, we pass through the alpine forests and glacial rivers. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon reaching at Kathmandu, the representatives from our company receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. You stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley
You will have full day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley today. We will mainly cover world-famous World Heritage Sites situated at Kathmandu including: Pashupatinath Temple (one of the holiest temple of Lord Buddha), Bauddhanath Stupa (one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monasteries in Nepal), Swayambhunath Temple (popularly known as Monkey Temple among foreigners), and Kathmandu Durbar Square among others. We stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Barpark (2000m)
Today, we drive from Kathmandu towards west. We drive from Kathmandu to Baluwa and then take a local jeep to Barpark village which is situated on the hilltop. The village of Barpark is the home to Gaje Ghale who was the Second World War veteran and who also received Victoria Cross from British Queen.

Day 04: Trek from Barpark to Laprak (2200m)
Today, we trek through the mountains in an easterly direction into the main valley of the Budhi Gandaki River. After fews hours of climb, we reach the pass of Gupsi Danda. On the day, we enjoy the panoramic views of Buddhi Gandaki, Ganesh Himal and the Langtang range. We eventually reach the beautiful Gurung Village of Laprak where we spend overnight.

Day 05: Trek from Laprak to Khorlabeshi (875m)
We trek further east to Manaslu main valley of the Budhi Gandaki River today. We then descend from Laprak and cross a suspension bridge on the way. After that, we climb a steep ascent around the hillside. We pass the village of Singla and finally descend down to Khorlabeshi where we stay overnight.

Day 06: Trek from Khorlabeshi to Jagat (1410m)
Today, we trek from Khorlabeshi and after few more ascents and descents, we reach to Tatopani. Tatopnai offers you natural hot springs. We then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge and climb over a ridge to Dovan. After crossing a suspension bridge over the Dovan Khola, our trail climbs on a rugged trail to Daman. Passing through Yaru Khola and Tharo Bhanjyang, we eventually reach the village of Jagat where we stay overnight.

Day 07: Trek from Jagat to Philim (1590m)
Today, we climb over a ridge to Salleri and then descend to Setibas. Continuing the trail, we notice that the valley widens as we move to Ghatta Khola. Trekking further to the trail, we climb up to Philim where we stay overnight.

Day 08: Trek from Philim to Chumling (2363m)
After walking across the forest from Philim, we move onwards crossing the Ekle Bhatti and the gorge. After that, we descend down to the trail going to Tsum Valley. We will be climbing through the forest of pine and rhododendron en route. While moving towards Chumling, we can witness the beautiful views of Himalchuli Mountains. Passing through Ghumlong and Ripchet, we finally arrive at Chhumling where we visit the old Chumling Gompa and stay overnight.

Day 09: Trek from Chumling to Chokhangparo (3010m)
We cross the suspension bridge onto the opposite bank today. On the way, we will have enough opportunity to enjoy the great views of Ganesh Himal. We walk past Rainjam to Serpu Khola crossing another bridge, we arrive at Gho Village. After walking further for about 2 hours, we reach at Chokhangparo where we stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 10: Trek from Chokhangparo to Nile (3361m) via Milarepa Cave
We have to be careful of altitude problems while climbing above the Chokhangparo. We move ahead passing through Lamagaon and crossing the rope suspension bridge to the Rachen Gompa. Continuing through the well managed villages Lar and Pangdun, we eventually reach Nile where we stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 11: Trek from Nile to Bhajyo (4030m)
Today we almost reach close to Tibetan Border. We will walk to the west bank of the valley through the Tibetan landscapes. And then, we climb up to Mu Gompa. We then climb further up to Bhajyo where we stay overnight.

Day 12: Rest Day at Bhajyo
For acclimatization and sightseeing purpose, we take rest at Bhajyo today. We discover the highland around Bhajyo. We can also enjoy the magnificent views of Ngula Dhojyang Pass and Glaciers of the Yamdro Valley if the weather is clear.

Day 13: Trek from Bhajyo to Rachen Gompa (3240m)
Today, we descend down to Rachen Gumba. The Rachen Gumba was established in 1905 AD and is a nunnery in the Shiar Khola valley. Actually, the nunnery is one of the largest in the region and is of great importance.

Day 14: Trek from Rachen Gompa to Chumje (3230m)
We continue south until a bridge crosses to the west bank then descend again to Chhokangparo. We then drop below Chhokangparo on the previous trail for about two hours. After arriving at Gho we take the northern route in the lower Tsum Valley and finally arrive at Chumje via Yaju. We stay overnight at Chumje.

Day 15: Trek from Chumje to Bihi (3130m)
We again continue on the northern route in the lower Tsum Valley from Chamje. We pass the village of Dorjon Kharka just before reaching Rana. We then cross the large suspension bridge in the main valley of the Manaslu Budhi Gandaki River. We then walk further up to the village of Bihi where we stay overnight.

Day 16: Trek from Bihi to Namrung (2540m)
We start with a relatively flat terrain today. And soon after a while, we move uphill through the forest path. We eventually arrive at Namrung while enjoying at the same time the magnificent views of Manaslu among others. We stay overnight at Namrung.

Day 17: Trek from Namrung to Lho (3180m)
Today, we again enter the Buddhism influenced region from Namrung. We then climb through the forest to Lihi. Trekking further through Sho, we finally arrive at Lho where we stay overnight at tented camps.

Day 18: Trek from Lho to Samagaon (3530m)
Today, we trek through the forest initially. We then have to pass a short climb to a plateau and the village of Shyala. Enjoying the magnificent mountain views on the way, we finally reach Samagaon which is inhabited mainly by the Tibetans and lies at the foot of Manaslu. We stay overnight at Samagaon.

Day 19: Trek froom Sama to Samdo (3860m)
Today, we descend to Budhi Gandaki and follow the bridge over a side stream. Our trail to the left leads to the Manaslu Base Camp. Passing through Larkya La, the forest, and Budhi Gandaki again, we finally arrive at Samdo where we stay overnight.

Day 20: Trek from Samdo to High Camp (Ekle Bhatti) (4460m)
Today, we continue our walk down the edge and cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki. We then start walking upward. After crossing two streams, we get to witness the Larkya Glacier. Moving onwards for some hours will finally take us to Ekle Bhatti where we stay overnight.

Day 21: Trek from Ekle Bhatti to Bimthang (3590m)
Early in the morning, we soon walk across the moraines of the glacier and make a gradual ascent. And from the pass, we can witness the outstanding views of Himlung Himal and Annapurna II among others. Passing through the spectacular trail, we reach Binthang where we stay overnight.

Day 22: Rest Day at Bimthang
After trekking incessantly for more than two weeks, we need to take rest at Bimthang today. We can discover the area surrounding Bimthang as well as the cultural life of the mountain people.

Day 23: Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani (1860m)
Today, we will descend a great height. In the morning, we move from the valley of Burdin Khola through the rhododendron forests to Karche. We then descend to the village of Gho. Trekking through Tilje Village and Dudh Khola, we finally arrive at Dharapani where we stay overnight.

Day 24: Trek from Dharapani to Ghermu (1100m)
Today, we follow the trails used on the first few hours of the Annapurna Circuit trail. And we then descend to the Marshyangdi River and cross the suspension bridge. After that, we climb up and away from the river and hike through a broad and flat valley to the village of Tal which is situated at the foot of a large waterfall. Continuing through the trail to Chyamje, we further trek to Jagat. We finally arrive at Ghermu where we stay overnight.

Day 25: Trek from Ghermu to Beshishahar (800m)
Today, the Marshyangdi Valley opens and on its banks terrace fields and the villages clung very high to the hillsides are the age old work of the Nepalese farmers. After that, we cross several interesting villages such as Bhulbhule and Khudi among others. Following the further trail will bring us to Beshishahar eventually where we stay overnight.

Day 26: Drive from Beshishahar to Kathmandu
Today, we drive back to Kathmandu from Beshishahar. Upon your Kathmandu arrival, you can take your time for the last minute shopping. In the evening, we celebrate the farewell dinner with our trekking crew. We stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 27: Final Departure
After completing your rewarding trip in Nepal, you are going to leave Nepal today. Our company representative will transfer you to the airport for your final departure. We will be returning to your hometown today.
