Everest Trek from Jiri is regarded as one of the best ways to do an Everest Trek while following the footsteps of the classical trail followed by Everest Expeditions from 1950s and 70s. Everest Trek via Jiri trail provides a good opportunity to see the densely populated middle hills and the high altitude majesty of the Khumbu region. Our trail heads eastwards from Jiri through the lovely forested hills of Solu and over the Lamajura Pass. During the trek, you will also trek through andn monasteries and uninterrupted mountain views ahead.
While trekking, you will find that the portion of the trek from Jiri to Lukla is often not crowded. Onwards, we follow the Dudh Koshi river north through terraced hillsides and small villages to join the main Everest trail below Lukla. Now, we will have time to adjust to life on the trail and with the benefit of increased fitness. After reaching the Khumbu region, glorious mountain views improve with every step. En route, we will witness the beautiful views of Mount Nuptse, Mount Thamserku, Mount Lhotse, Mount Everest, Mount Kwangde, and Ama Dablam among others.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon reaching at Kathmandu, the representatives from our company receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. You stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: The Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu
You will have full day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley today. We will mainly cover world-famous World Heritage Sites situated at Kathmandu including: Pashupatinath Temple (one of the holiest temple of Lord Buddha), Bauddhanath Stupa (one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monasteries in Nepal), Swayambhunath Temple (popularly known as Monkey Temple among foreigners), and Kathmandu Durbar Square among others. We stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Bhandar via Jiri
Today, we take an early morning drive to Jiri which is about 187 kilometers north east of Kathmandu. To reach Jiri, it takes approx. seven hours as we would be traveling on the mountain roads. From Jiri, we continue driving to Bhandar which will be the starting point of our trek. On the way, you can enjoy the Koshi River and panoramic views of Himalayas including Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal and Dorje Lakpa. We stay overnight at Bhandar.

Day 04: Trek from Bhandar to Sete (2575m)
We descend the trail from Bhandar through deep forests crossing a few streams and passing the small settlements of Dokharpa and Baranda. We then climb through the forests winding down to the Surma Khola. After that we continue to Likhu Khola Valley which makes up the village of Kenja. Eventually, we reach Sete where we stay overnight.

Day 05: Trek from Sete to Junbesi (2670m)
We climb to Lamjura La through the forests of rhododendrons, birch, pine, magnolia and maples. We pass by the villages of Dagchu and Goyem. After crossing Lamjura La, we descend down to Tragdobuk and then eventually to Junbesi where we stay overnight.

Day 06: Trek from Junbesi to Nunthala (2220m)
We cross the stream beyond Junbesi today and climb up the forest slope. After walking about an hour, we see the mesmerizing views of glorious peaks including Mount Everest, Mount Nuptse, Mount Makalu, Mount Lhotse, Mount Mera Peak, and Mount Thamserku among others.

Day 07: Trek from Nunthala to Bupsa (2360m)
We descend down the trail to Dudh Koshi River today. After crossing the bridge over there, we climb to Jubing and continue straight to Churkha. We descend to crossing a suspension bridge passing through Kharikhola. Eventually, we reach Bupsa for our overnight stay.

Day 08: Trek from Bupsa to Surke (2290m)
We start trekking from Bupsa today. We move through a forest passing Kharte. After that, we take an uphill climb from Kharte which takes us to Khari La Pass. On the way, we enjoy the magnificent views of Khari La Pass of Gyachung Kang and Khumbila mountains among others. Our trail eventually takes us to Surke where we stay overnight.

Day 09: Trek from Surke to Phakding (2652m)
Our trail climbs towards Churikharka from Surke today. And we move up to Chhiplung and then move down to Phakding where we stay overnight.

Day 10: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Today, we continue trekking along Dudh Koshi River banks. We will cross this river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. We then enter Sagarmatha National Park from where our trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Eventually we reach Namche Bazaar which is the gateway to Everest Region. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest Trail. We stay overnight at Guesthouse at Namche.

Day 11: Acclimatization or rest day at Namche
In order to acclimatize and adjust with the higher altitude and thinning of air, we spend a day in Namche as Acclimatization Day. We take a short trek to the historical museum and Syangboche Airport. We can witness rewarding views of Himalayas with beautiful sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu Peaks. We stay overnight at guesthouse at Namche.

Day 12: Trek from Namche to Tyangboche (3870m)
We continue our trek today along the rushing glacial waters of Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We reach Tyangboche monastery and explore around the ancient monastery area with incredibly ornate wall hangings, beautiful sculpture of Buddha (20 foot high), and the musical instruments of robes of Lamas and many others. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 13: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4360m)
Our trail drops to Debuche from Tyangboche and then crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola. We further climb to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones and continue towards the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche. From Dingboche, we can explore the beautiful views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Island Peak. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 14: Trek from Dingboche to Dughla (4600m)
We start with a climb to Dughla through the Khumbu Khola Valley today. Then, we walk along the arid terraces along with awesome mountain views surrounding us. After that, we pass through Dusa and continue through Phulung Karpo. Just above Phulung Karpo, there is Chola Lake. On the way, we enjoy the panoramic views of Mount Pumori, Mount Cholatse, Mount Nuptse and Mount Thamserku among others. Eventually, we return to Dughla where we stay overnight.

Day 15: Trek from Dughla to Lobuche (4940m)
Today, we trek up to steep terminal moraine of Khumbu Glacier. Then, we follow the trail through the ridge of Chupki Lhara. After passing through Khumbu Glacier moraine, we eventually reach at Lobuche where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 16: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) to Gorakshep
Today will be another big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp. We can enjoy spectacular views of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp. We return back to Gorakshep where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 17: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545m) to Pheriche (4280m)
Today will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. We hike up to Kalapatthar early in the morning where we can enjoy the magnificent panorama of Mount Everest and other highest mountains in the Khumbu region. Kalapatthar is regarded as one of the best viewpoint in this region. We then descend back to Gorakshep and then further down to Pheriche where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 18: Trek from Pheriche to Pangboche, then to Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar
We take slightly different route down to Orsho from Pheriche today. We further trek to Pangboche villages where we can explore the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of abominable snowman Yeti. From Pangboche, we trek further to Tyangboche and then to Namche. We stay overnight at Guesthouse in Namche.

Day 19: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2800m)
Eventually, we return to Lukla where the trek started. It takes approx. six hours to reach Lukla from Namche. Lukla marks the end of our trek. We stay overnight at guesthouse in Lukla.

Day 20: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
We catch our scheduled flight back to Kathmandu today. On arriving at Kathmandu, you can take your time to visit around the city or you can go for last minute shopping in Kathmandu. We stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 21: Final Departure
After completing your rewarding trip in Nepal, you are going to leave Nepal today. Our company representative will transfer you to the airport for your final departure. We will be returning to your hometown today.
