Everest Khumbu Explore Trek covers the 3 high passes of Everest Region and this trek is considered one of the most challenging treks in the region. Everest Explore Trek is going to be the most rewarding experience during your Nepal Trip. During this trek, you will explore three mighty passes namely: Kongma La, Cho La and Renjo La in the Khumbu Region.
We begin Everest Khumbu Explore Trip with the wonderful sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley. After that, we take a scenic flight to Lukla which is going to be the actual trek point for us. From Lukla, we trek with our guides and porters to Phakding and then to Namche. After spending a day acclimatizing in Namche, we move further to Tyangboche, Dingboche,Chhukung. We will spend a day acclimatizing at Chhukung and then move onwards to cross Kongma La. We then trek to Lobuche, Kalapatthar, EBC and Dzongla. After that, we cross Cho La and Renjola passes and return back to Luka via Marlung and Namche.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon reaching at Kathmandu, the representatives from our company receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. You stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley
You will have full day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley today. We will mainly cover world-famous World Heritage Sites situated at Kathmandu including: Pashupatinath Temple (one of the holiest temple of Lord Buddha), Bauddhanath Stupa (one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monasteries in Nepal), Swayambhunath Temple (popularly known as Monkey Temple among foreigners), and Kathmandu Durbar Square among others. We stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m), then trek to Phakding (2610m)
Early in the morning, we catch our morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The scenic flight of about 35 minutes will take to the Lukla Airport. On arrival at the airport, we meet our guide who will brief you and introduce with our porters before begin trekking further towards Phakding. It takes approx. three hours to reach Phakding where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek from Phadking to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Today, we continue trekking along Dudh Koshi River banks. We will cross this river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. We then enter Sagarmatha National Park from where our trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Eventually we reach Namche Bazaar which is the gateway to Everest Region. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest Trail. We stay overnight at Guesthouse at Namche.

Day 05: Rest or Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
In order to acclimatize and adjust with the higher altitude and thinning of air, we spend a day in Namche as Acclimatization Day. We take a short trek to the historical museum and Syangboche Airport. We can witness rewarding views of Himalayas with beautiful sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu Peaks. We stay overnight at guesthouse at Namche.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3840m)
We continue our trek today along the rushing glacial waters of Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We reach Tyangboche monastery and explore around the ancient monastery area with incredibly ornate wall hangings, beautiful sculpture of Buddha (20 foot high), and the musical instruments of robes of Lamas and many others. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4360m)
Our trail drops to Debuche from Tyangboche and then crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola. We further climb to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones and continue towards the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche. From Dingboche, we can explore the beautiful views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Island Peak. We stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4750m)
We can enjoy another day for acclimatization today. So, we will have a trip to Chhukung Valley through the Imja Khola valley to get a marvelous view of the surrounding mountains. We stay overnight at guesthouse in Chhukung.

Day 09: Acclimatization at Chhukung
Experts strongly recommend to the trekkers to acclimatize in Chhukung before doing the Kongma La Pass. And you are not supposed to stay inactive. Today, you will have enough opportunity to witness the beautiful views of mountains including Lhotse and Amphu Lapcha along with Ama Dablam.

Day 10: Trek from Chhukung to Kongma La (5535m) to Lobuche (4940m)
We have to start our trek early in order to conquer the highest pass of today's trip. En route, we enjoy the great views of Island Peak valley and Amphu Lapcha peak. After that, we cross Kongma La. We then descend back to Lobuche for overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) to Gorakshep
Today will be another big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp. We can enjoy spectacular views of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp. We return back to Gorakshep where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 12: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545m) to Lobuche (4940m)
Today will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. We hike up to Kalapatthar early in the morning where we can enjoy the magnificent panorama of Mount Everest and other highest mountains in the Khumbu region. Kalapatthar is regarded as one of the best viewpoint in this region. We then return back to Lobuche where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 13: Trek from Lobuche to Dzongla (4830m)
Today, our trek is going to be very short compared to that of the previous or next days. Our path to Dzongla branches off from the trail some distance from Lobuche. From the grassy ridge ahead, you can witness the soaring heights of Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Thamserku and Kangtega while Teboche looms prominently ahead. We stay overnight at Dzongla.

Day 14: Trek from Dzongla to Chola (5368m) to Thangnak (4680m) to Gokyo (4800m)
As we get out of the lodge in the morning, we are greeted by the mesmerizing sight of Cholatse looming over. Remember, today is going to be one of the toughest days of our trip. We begin our trek as we traverse through a spur extending westward from Dzongla. We then descend to a basin across which many streams crusted with ice at places. We reach the top of the basin and prepare for crossing Cho La Pass. We descend to Thangnak after the successful climb to Cho La. Thangnak is rather a more substantial hamlet with a small village. We spend overnight at Thangnak.

Day 15: Rest Day in Gokyo and hike to Gokyo Ri (5357m)
Today, after stepping out of the settlement of Thangnak, the fabulous mountain views greet us. Our trail brings us to the Ngozumpa glacier which is the longest glacier in Nepal. After that we visit the six Gokyo Lakes in series. After exploring the tranquil Gokyo Lakes, we hike to Gokyo Ri and then return back to the wonderful Gokyo Village where we stay overnight.

Day 16: Trek from Gokyo to Renjo La (5360m) to Marlung (4210m)
We need to start at dawn today as we have to trace our trail up to Marlung after crossing Renjo La Pass. We leave the main trail and turn to Renjo La trail by Dudh Pokhari. After crossing Renjo La, we descend down to Marlung where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 17: Trek from Marlung to Namche Bazaar
We descend from Marlung to Thame following a traditional route used for centuries by Tibetan traders. We cross the Bhote Koshi River and then descend to Taranga. Our trail then goes through the valley of Langmuche Khola to eventually reach Namche where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 18: Trek from Namche to Lukla
Eventually, we return to Lukla where the trek started. It takes approx. six hours to reach Lukla from Namche. Lukla marks the end of our trek. We stay overnight at guesthouse in Lukla.

Day 19: Flight back to Kathmandu
We catch our scheduled flight back to Kathmandu today. On arriving at Kathmandu, you can take your time to visit around the city or you can go for last minute shopping in Kathmandu. We stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 20: Final Departure
After completing your rewarding trip in Nepal, you are going to leave Nepal today. Our company representative will transfer you to the airport for your final departure. We will be returning to your hometown today.
