Everest Adventure (Base Camp-Kalapatthar-Cho La Pass-Gokyo Lake)

Everest Adventure Trek is one of the most rewarding adventurous experiences in Everest Region. This trek takes you through Everest Base Camp, wonderful Gokyo Valley, huge Ngozumpa Glacier, popular Cho La pass along with the best viewpoints of Kalapatthar and Gokyo Ri. During Everest Adventure Trek, you will move through majestically soaring mountains and Sherpa villages as well as colorful monasteries.
Everest Adventure Trek is graded as difficult and challenging trek which is suitable only for physically fit and experienced hikers who love the challenge and can walk for approx. six to eight hours. We begin this trip with the sightseeing of historic Kathmandu city which possesses several World Heritage Cultural Sites. After that, we take a scenic flight to Lukla and then the short trek to Phakding. From Phakding we move forward to Namche and then to Dole, Machhermo, Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Ri, Cho La Pass, Kalapatthar as well as EBC.

Day 13: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak shep (5170m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and return back to Gorak Shep: 8-9 hours
Day 14: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar to Pheriche (4280m): 8-9 hours
Day 15: Pheriche to Pangboche to Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3400m): 5-6 hours
Day 16: Trek from Namche to Lukla: 7-8 hours
Day 17: Flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon reaching at Kathmandu, the representatives from our company receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport and then transfer you to the hotel. You stay overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley
You will have full day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley today. We will mainly cover world-famous World Heritage Sites situated at Kathmandu including: Pashupatinath Temple (one of the holiest temple of Lord Buddha), Bauddhanath Stupa (one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monasteries in Nepal), Swayambhunath Temple (popularly known as Monkey Temple among foreigners), and Kathmandu Durbar Square among others. We stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m), then to Phakding (2610m): 4 hours
Early in the morning, we catch our morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The scenic flight of about 35 minutes will take to the Lukla Airport. On arrival at the airport, we meet our guide who will brief you and introduce with our porters before begin trekking further towards Phakding. It takes approx. three hours to reach Phakding where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3400m): 5-6 hours
Today, we continue trekking along Dudh Koshi River banks. We will cross this river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. We then enter Sagarmatha National Park from where our trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Eventually we reach Namche Bazaar which is the gateway to Everest Region. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest Trail. We stay overnight at Guesthouse at Namche.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche
In order to acclimatize and adjust with the higher altitude and thinning of air, we spend a day in Namche as Acclimatization Day. We take a short trek to the historical museum and Syangboche Airport. We can witness rewarding views of Himalayas with beautiful sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu Peaks. We stay overnight at guesthouse at Namche.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4110m): 6-7 hours
We continue our trek today along the rushing glacial waters of Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We reach Tyangboche monastery and explore around the ancient monastery area with incredibly ornate wall hangings, beautiful sculpture of Buddha (20 foot high), and the musical instruments of robes of Lamas and many others. We then trek onwards and stop at Dole for overnight stay.

Day 07: Trek from Dole to Machhermo (4470m): 5 hours
We make an early start from Dole today. The trek today is not going to be that strenuous. But the natural beauty we will observe on the way is amazingly spectacular. We pass through many of the excellent views of mountains including Cho Oyu while at the rear are the peaks of Kantega and Thamserku. Eventually we reach Machhermo where we stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 08: Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo (4800m): 5 hours
After having our morning breakfast at Machhermo today, we move onwards along various lakes en route. Then, we continue our trek gradually uphill to Gokyo Lake for our lunch where we stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 09: Acclimatization Day at Gokyo Valley
We spend a day at Gokyo valley for getting used to with the higher altitude.

Day 10: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5357m) to Thaknak (4750m): 4-5 hours
We hike up to Gokyo Ri for our ultimate goal to see the wonderful views of Himalayas including Mount Everest today. If the weather is fine, you can spend few hours at the top of Gokyo Ri. We have enough time to enjoy the glory of Himalayas. Then, we will stroll back to Thanknak where we stay overnight.

Day 11: Trek from Thaknak to Chola Pass (5367m) to Dzongla (4830m): 8 hours
Chola Pass is another show up for this Everest Adventure Trek. As we have to cross the pass, today is going to be the toughest day of the entire trip. We need to start early in the morning. As the pass is steep and it involves a glacier traverse on the eastern side. Our trail is vertical and the rocks are glazed by ice. So, it adds trouble to the trekkers making the trail slippery. En route, we can witness the beautiful views of Ama Dablam over a range of mountains on the south along with the Cholatse on the west and the Lobuche East & Baruntse. We need to pass through some crevasses before we reach Dzongla. We stay overnight at lodge at Dzongla.

Day 12: Trek from Dzongla to Lobuche (4940m): 3 hours
It's going to be a bit shorter walk today. We would get more time to observe and relax. As climb down from Dzongla, we traverse through a grassy trail after crossing a bridge. On the way, we will get to enjoy the panoramic views of glorious mountains including Thamserku, Mount Lobuche, Mount Ama Dablam and Kangtega prominently. We stay overnight at Lobuche.

Day 13: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak shep (5170m) to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and return back to Gorak Shep: 8-9 hours
Today will be another big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp. We can enjoy spectacular views of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp. We return back to Gorakshep where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 14: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar to Pheriche (4280m): 8-9 hours
Today will be one of the most difficult yet rewarding days of the trek. We hike up to Kalapatthar early in the morning where we can enjoy the magnificent panorama of Mount Everest and other highest mountains in the Khumbu region. Kalapatthar is regarded as one of the best viewpoint in this region. We then descend back to Gorakshep and then further down to Pheriche where we stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 15: Pheriche to Pangboche to Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3400m): 5-6 hours
We take slightly different route down to Orsho from Pheriche today. We further trek to Pangboche villages where we can explore the oldest monastery in the region which contains what is said to be the scalp and bones of abominable snowman Yeti. From Pangboche, we trek further to Tyangboche and then to Namche. We stay overnight at Guesthouse in Namche.

Day 16: Trek from Namche to Lukla: 7-8 hours
Eventually, we return to Lukla where the trek started. It takes approx. six hours to reach Lukla from Namche. Lukla marks the end of our trek. We stay overnight at guesthouse in Lukla.

Day 17: Flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla
We catch our scheduled flight back to Kathmandu today. On arriving at Kathmandu, you can take your time to visit around the city or you can go for last minute shopping in Kathmandu. We stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 18: Final Departure

After completing your rewarding trip in Nepal, you are going to leave Nepal today. Our company representative will transfer you to the airport for your final departure. We will be returning to your hometown today.
